The Da'at Story

Da'at Travel Services, as we were originally known, was established in 1991 by Yaacov Fried, bringing a different take on Israeli travel and service. Da'at Travel Services was among the creators of the educational travel genre, creating the opportunity to connect with roots, as well as a process of inner exploration and connection with one's travel destinations. By providing top level educational travel and tourism services to groups and organizations, we evolved into Da’at – Educational Expeditions. Our goals, however, never changed. Our concept is to take our program participants to places of Jewish interest throughout the world, creating a valuable, educational, personal and pleasurable trip while always providing our clients with the highest level of professionalism and integrity. These tenets have made us the recognized brand name that we are in Israeli and global travel, and always associated with profound, high-quality Jewish experiences.

Da'at – Educational Expeditions is structured to build programs that synthesize the trip organizers’ agenda with our programming rationale, creating an operative, thematic and logical program. Our combined flexibility and commitment to excellence allow for unlimited potential, both educationally and logistically. Programming at Da'at never becomes secondary to logistical requirements. Instead, once the educational objective of a trip is conceptualized, we create the logistical framework necessary to best carry out the programmatic needs of a particular group. It goes without saying that Da'at logistics and services are always the best.

Our approach has always been a working relationship with the trip organizer that is based on a partnership, in which the trip organizer dreams and we implement those dreams. The process begins with an initial inquiry, leading to an ongoing dialogue that results in the translation of a wish list into reality. We pride ourselves on our ability to transform any vision into a coherent and authentic program, while making sure that the implementation is realistic and the end results reflect the initial thoughts of the trip organizer.
